Mercury REtrograde in Leo: 14 July to 08 August 2012

Retrograde: Any planet’s reverse movement which results in an opposite direction to that of the Earth’s orbit around the Sun, or of the Moon around the Earth.

Known as the Trickster, Mercury lives up to his nickname especially when he cruises in reverse for a mere three weeks approximately three times per year. The collective undeniably senses the fluxes within our communications, movements, mechanisms of travel and electronics, as well as our thinking and mentality. When our Messenger is preparing to take his backwards trip, one all too often wonders within all the zany craziness: What in the world IS going on lately?

Yet, as we also know, Mercury Retrograde periods are never to fear because all human beings are required to take-up in these offerings for review. Surely though you will see those unawares typically getting aggravated and frustrated by Mercury’s typical bag of tricks he draws from over this period. Even as the station occurs just a couple days before the point he will retrograde from, the request for change and adaptability comes into collective play. Human error is the highest under the influence of these passages than during any other time of the year.

Adding up the total time of these periods within any given calendar year we find they are the equivalent of the actual time we spend sleeping- one more human requirement in order to function properly within the waking world.
